Hi, I'm Cornelia 👋
I've been teaching for over 10 years now, and honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else. There's nothing quite like watching a child's face light up when something finally clicks, that moment where they realise they can do it.
My path wasn't exactly a straight line. I started out studying Biomedical Science, then went on to train as a teacher for Grades 1 to 8. A bit of an unusual route, maybe, but it's given me a real understanding of how children actually learn, not just how to deliver a lesson.
Over the years I've taught all kinds of children, different cultures, different abilities, different backgrounds, across the UK and here in the UAE. And no matter where I've been, the same thing has always been true: every child can succeed when they've got someone in their corner.
That's really what Mindaro Academy is about. Not just better grades, though those come too. It's about giving kids the confidence to have a go, the resilience to keep going, and the joy that comes from realising they're capable of more than they thought.

I'll be honest, this started with a feeling I couldn't shake. In every school I taught in, I'd see the same thing. Bright, capable children quietly falling behind. Not because they couldn't do the work. Not because they didn't care. But because their families simply couldn't afford the extra help.
Private tutoring at £40 to £60 an hour, sometimes more, is out of reach for most families. And I kept thinking, how is that fair? How did we get to a place where a child's chance to succeed depends on what their parents can pay?
So I decided to do something about it. I wanted to build something that felt different. Live lessons with a real teacher, proper resources, genuine support, but at a price that actually works for real families. Not a watered-down version of education. The real thing, just affordable.
That's why a class at Mindaro is £2. A full year of unlimited access to every subject is £80. No hidden fees, no catch, no locking anyone out.
Good education shouldn't cost a fortune. And at Mindaro, it doesn't.
